You control which time will be available for exchange for each property. We are flexible…if you find a renter for a week that you offered for exchange, you can rent that week and replace it with another.

How It Works
For The Property Manager
The non-reciprocal exchange platform extracts value from unoccupied time for the PM and homeowner.
Getting Started
Homeowners can only participate through their PM. You introduce the program to your homeowners and you decide which weeks to list for exchange.
Upon enrollment, homeowners receive usable Ambio Dollars. The number of Ambio Dollars is based on the rental value of the nights and how many are put into the program.
For example, if the weekly rental value is $3000, the owner receives 3000 Ambio Dollars for enrollment and an additional 3000 for the minimum 5 weeks time deposited. For each additional 5 weeks put into the program, they receive an additional 3000 Ambio Dollars.
Additional Ambio Dollars are earned by homeowners through exchanges completed into their property.
There is no cost to the PM or homeowner for participation.
A property template showing the available exchange nights with their rental value is filled out for each property by the PM.
Process
A homeowner with Ambio Dollars searches for their perfect travel lodging match and requests the exchange directly with the listing PM or Hotel.
If their desired property is not listed as available for their preferred dates they can contact the PM to see if there is any flexibility in availability, alternate similar properties, or perhaps to rent. The homeowner/exchanger is connected with the PM for all aspects of the stay, just like a renter.
When an exchange is confirmed, Ambio collects the 20% exchange fee and pays half of the fee to the PM and debits the amount of required Ambio Dollars from the exchanger’s account and adds those Ambio Dollars to the account of the homeowner providing the property.
The exchange value for any occupancy period is always equal to the rental value for that period.
For The Hotel

Getting Started
There is no cost to the Hotel for participation.
To enroll, the Hotel simply fills out our one-page template outlining the property with a link to the Hotel’s web site.
Process
A homeowner with Ambio Dollars searches for their perfect hotel room at the Hotel’s website and requests the AmbioRate through the Ambio platform. All AmbioRates are equal to the Hotel’s rates as listed on their website. An AmbioRate is a combination of cash and Ambio Dollars that totals to the Hotel’s listed rate.
If the Hotel does not want to offer the AmbioRate on the requested dates, they have the option of offering different dates at the AmbioRate or a discount on a full cash rate. Ambio only collects a fee on AmbioRate nights.
Once the guest is connected with the Hotel the Hotel controls all aspects of the stay, just like with a conventional guest.
When the AmbioRate is confirmed, Ambio collects a cash fee of 30% of the listed rate from the guest and pays two-thirds of the fee to the Hotel along with the number of Ambio Dollars needed to equal the Hotel’s website listed rate.
Ambio will debit the amount of required Ambio Dollars from the guest’s account and add those Ambio Dollars to the account of the Hotel.
